The Unit Circle & Trigonometry
An Interactive Puzzle Game
Angle
0° | 0.00 rad
Score
0
How to Play:
1. Move your mouse (or finger) over the canvas to change the angle on the unit circle.
2. A yellow target point will appear on either the sine or cosine graph.
3. Adjust the angle on the circle until the end of the graph line matches the target.
4. Click (or tap) when you think you've found the right angle to solve the puzzle!
Examples to Try:
- Set the angle to 0° (or 360°). Notice that sin(0°) is 0 and cos(0°) is 1.
- Set the angle to 90°. Here, sin(90°) is at its maximum (1), and cos(90°) is 0.
- Set the angle to 180°. See how sin(180°) is 0 again, while cos(180°) is at its minimum (-1).
- Set the angle to 45°. At this point, the values for sine and cosine are equal! (approximately 0.707).
